About Ashish
A charismatic political strategist, human rights activist, TEDx speaker and award-winning executive, Ashish is known for flipping the script and winning over the toughest adversary. He’s elevated companies to the highest level, transformed lackluster teams into top performers, and produced successful start-up fundraises and launches. He’s also a passionate proponent of social justice, launching award-winning prison reform campaigns that produced legislative change.
Ashish began his career in journalism and moved over to politics, working for the Conservative Party, becoming the youngest press secretary ever for the Mayor of London in 2008. The Middle East Peace Envoy Tony Blair later tapped him to join his team as an advisor. During his time with Blair Ashish created and launched an innovative micro-lending campaign for small businesses in the West Bank, Palestinian Territories. He also provided strategic counsel to Obama and Biden’s Presidential Campaigns, focusing on getting out the vote among the formerly incarcerated community.
Ashish then brought his political acumen to the private sector where he provided counsel to multiple start-ups and ran communications at Ipsos and Publicis Sapient. In 2021, he joined R/GA as the Global Chief Marketing Officer, where he successfully catapulted the agency to number 2 on AdAge’s Top Ten Creative Agencies list after a four-year absence. He was also named to AdAge’s 40 under 40 in 2022. Most recently, he created and launched multiple campaigns for human rights, focused on accountability of leaders and power brokers. He continues to provide strategic, marketing and communications counsel to start-ups and other companies and organizations.
Ashish is a Fellow at the Royal Society of Arts and sits on the Board of Just Leadership and the Responsible Business Initiative for Justice.
Ashish has appeared as a regular commentator in media outlets, including CNN, The Guardian and USA Today.
